Profile Shots and a Bumbleride

We had another chance to see Christian in the womb. The OB-GYN doctor did a few routine examinations and told us that everything looks good.

26 Weeks and 3 Days

The day after the appointment, the stroller we’ve been searching for, after missing out on a good online-only deal from Babies R Us, arrived a week late from an Amazon seller (avoid 16th Avenue Pharmacy, Inc. aka 911drugstore.com). The deal wasn’t as good as Babies R Us, but it was the best around. We’re also waiting on a matching diaper bag, the Bumbleride Jam Pack in Lava, that ships on May 5 from Fawn and Forest. Here are some pics of the Bumbleride Queen B in Ruby:

10 Years with a DA

I’ve been trying to sell my car for a while now, and someone finally bought it. I know the buyer, so she will be in good hands. Only after looking at the old paper work, did I realize that I’ve had the car for just over 10 years. I picked up the car on 2/23/1999 and sold it on 2/28/2009. It’s been a ten-year roller coaster of learning and meeting some great friends along the way.

After numerous wheels, colors, bumpers, lips, etc. Here’s a picture timeline of my DA.

After a few months, I threw on my Kuya’s 15×6 Work Emotions lowered on Suspension Techniques SpeedTech springs, clear corners and a K&N filter and elbow adapter.

One night after going to Miyagi’s with some Bosco buddies, I got bumped by a wandering guy from Branson, Missouri.

My Kuya and I decided that we can take the insurance money and fix it ourselves, so we bought all the parts and materials to get it done.

Later that same year, Reyna got me an early Birthday/Christmas gift, a Wings West Mugen style spoiler. After painting and installing it, I took the Adler Racing AR-08 wheels (17×7) off her car, replaced them with 18×7.5 Tenzo Shu-4’s and threw the Adler’s on my car.

Around 2003, I was leaving a friend’s birthday party and rear-ended a Lexus RX300. Once again, I took it upon my self to fix the car on my own. In the process, I started a group buy on some VIS carbon fiber hoods, tracked down some Mugen style side skirts, used my Overboost discount and upgraded to a Kaminari front bumper cover, replaced one JDM fender, sourced a passenger side JDM one-piece headlights and added sidemarkers. All the used parts came from YLM from the Alpha street junkyards in Irwindale. I also changed the wheels again. Reyna’s uncle came to visit from the Philippines, and as a graduation gift, he brought over some Rota Circuit 8’s (16×7).

I was wandering around the old Alta tire shop on Temple City Blvd. and came across a pretty clean and complete set of 16×7 Kakimoto Racing N-GT’s and traded in a set of 16×7 Work Emotions that I found on eBay. In addition to the wheels, I came up on a good deal for a damaged JDP carbon fiber lip for my old 92 bumper and held for ransom, a rare optional equipment rear visor.

Even though I was content with how that car looked and even showed at the 2005 Nisei car show, browsing around the Generation 2 Integra Club, I found a replica of the OE front lip for my 90 bumper. With less time on my hands and strict deadlines to meet working for Honda Tuning and Car Audio magazines, I had the lip and JDM flat mouldings color-matched, bumpers and skirts resprayed. Around that time and a few days away from Import Showoff, I sourced 2 sets of SSR Super Mesh 15×6.5 to make one clean set, JDM amber bumper signals and a cleaner pair of headlights.

A few months pass by and I get laid off from what I thought was my dream job, just 5 days after my wedding. As a little pick me up, a “Danny” good friend of mine had the idea to do a tribute photo shoot. Here are a couple of shots. You can see more on his site.

These are some final shots of the car heading off to new horizons.
